Ridgefield Aquatic Club Swimmers Fare Well at CT Senior Championships

The Ridgefield Aquatic Club sent 10 swimmers to the CT Senior Open Championships on the weekend of March 13-16. The meet was composed of 900 of the best senior swimmers in the state of Connecticut. RAC had 4 of its swimmers place in the top 24 at the meet. Those swimmers were, John Kenyon, 17 of Ridgefield, Kerri Knippenberg, 15 of Carmel, NY, Nick Lusardi, 16 of Ridgefield, CT, and Grayson Smith, 13 of Ridgefield, CT. John placed 19^th in the 500 free and 1650 free, and 18^th in the 1000 free. Kerri placed 23^rd in the women’s 1650 free. Nick Lusardi placed 14^th in the men’s 200 breastroke, 20^th in the 400 IM, and 21^st in the 500 free. Grayson Smith placed 11^th in the men’s 1000 free, and 14^th in the 500 free.
